Khana Baraha is a 1981 Indian Bengali biographical,drama film released on May 29, 1981. The film is directed by Bijoy Bose, produced by Ashim Sarkar , music composed by Shyamal Mitra.

A miscalculation leads Baraho, a great astrologer and a member of Vikramaditya's Navratna Sabha, to float his new born son in the sea. He adopts Bhairav, his slave's new born daughter as his own. The abandoned baby, Mihir, reaches the coast of Singhal and grows up to be a great diciple of the royal astrologer. He is always in search of his parents. Khana, the royal princess is a talented astrologer. Circumtances lead to Khana and Mihir's marriage. The couple leave for India to find Mihir's parents. Mean while, Baraho out of guilt has spent sleepless nights for years. Khana and Mihir are given shelter by Baraho. They rival him with miracoulous astrological powers. Khana's words become very popular with the villagers. Khana reveals to Baraho that Mihir is his son. Khana's soaring popularity reaches the king's ears. The king ask Baraho a question which will settele his position in court. Khana tells him the answer but a royal spy sees it all. Baraho loses his position but is proud that only his daughter-in-law can take his place. Mean while Kamandok incites Mihir and says that Khana is the evil star of his life. Khana destroys all her work, cuts her tonge off and dies. Baraho is left crying for the astrologer Khana.
