Kharidaar is a 2000 Indian Bollywood drama, family film released on Jan 01, 2000. The film is directed by Papu Bahruz, produced by B. Raju under banner named Neha Films Enterprises, music composed by Sanjay Raj.
Mrs. Purohit has been widowed now for many years. She has lost the use of her legs, is bed-ridden and not determined to live long, though she would like to live long to marry her girl, Renu and her son, Raj. She is aware that Raj has fallen into bad company, has taken to drinking and socialising. She is also aware that Rena is captivated with being an actress. She decides to lay down the principles for Raj, who she wants to get wed to immediately. Then one day Raj introduces a young lady named Myna to her, who she accept off and both get wed. Myna looks after her mother-in-law, whose health starts to improve so much so that she begins to roam around. What Mrs. Purohit does not know is that Myna is a hustler, hired by Raj, to play the role of his beau until his mother passes away, leaving the entire area to him; neither does she know that Renu is allures to become a prostitute herself by a half-bro of Myna. It looks like Raj has accomplished in creating an early death for his mother, who may not survive this dual shock of her girl and girl-in-law being prostitutes.
