Story, Synopsis, Trivia, Dialogues for Khelaghar (1959)
Khelaghar' is one of the renowned movies of Uttam kumar and Mala sinha. The story starts with the scene where Goutam chatterjee is escaping from jail. Goutam is a freedom fighter and political leader. When Goutam is escaping, he takes shelter in Ruchira Banerjee's house. Ruchira's father Roylachadur? R. C. Banerjea is a police officer. Goutam gets away from there. In the meantime, Ruchira leaves her house because her father forces her against her wish to get married with Subir. After that, suddenly Ruchira meets Goutam again. They become friends and they move from one place to another together. Police chases them. But they keep on changing places. One day when Goutam goes to meet his companions, suddenly the police said ? the place. The police shoots Goutam, but still he escapes. Ruchira takes care of him. They gradually fall in love. Police arests Goutam. Ruchira's father requests her to go back home with him. But Ruchira refuses. Here comes a twist in the story. A gentleman demands that he himself is Goutam Chatterjee who is known to everybody as Goutam Chatterjee. Actually he is Shantanu Roy. After investigation, everybody comes to know that this is true. The honorable court decides to send Shantanu to jail for two years becaouse he helped the freedom fighters and he diquised ?
