At Geetas betrothal ceremony, everybody is stunned when a visiting priest (Pandit) from a far-off village, announces that would-be bride an illegitimate daughter!.....The priest has recognized Geetas mother as the Widow of Ranbir Singh who years back used to live in his village....He proclaims that the woman had conceived when her husband was away at his job in the city and was murdered there later. . That grave accusation makes the grooms father break-off the betrothal and he leaves with his party...Geeta is heart-broken, her elder brother, Sumer is extremely perturbed and their mother is woe-begone. her husband being dead, she has no way of proving to the world that she is a Chaste-woman. . But, Sumer has full faith that his mother is a "Devi"..... . He take a vow a supreme vow - to vindicate mothers honour and to restore her respect in the eyes of the world. . He sets out from the village on that mission.... . His mission takes him to various places - to the hill-resort hotel where his father had a job... . He unearth some clues to his fathers mysterious and yet-unsolved murder and follows them upto land in Bombay.. . He comes across deep-rooted intrigues and conspiracies! Alongside he discovers love also in the person of a rich, vivacious girl who falls head over heals for him... . He finds himself at cross-roads when he has to choose between the girls love and his mission... . Naturally he chooses the later...He braves dangers to his life but continues undaunted!
