Kudiyiruntha Koyil is a 1968 Indian Tamil costume drama film released on Jan 01, 1968. The film is directed by K.Shankar. Ramanathan a honest and simple man witnessed a murder and was the instrument in the arrest of the murderer who was a coworker. Because of his witness the murderer was apprehended and sentenced to death. But the murderer (Nambiar) escaped from jail went to Ramanathans house and killed him. Ramanathan had 2 sons who were twins and their mother after her husbands death decided to leave the city and go somwherelse to bring up her kids. On the way the eldest son gets of the train to get some water and the train leaves the station without him. The eldest boy Shekhar was rescued by nambiar when he is on the run from the police knowing who the boy was nambiar brings him up as a thief. In the meantime the Shekhars mother realising her son had been left behind gets off at the next station and asks for help. But to no avail Shekhar will not be found. She then takes her youngest son Mohan and brings him up as an entertainer. Years pass and in a chance encounter Shekhar meets his mother who saves him from the police not realising that he is her son and helps him to escape. She advices him to leave his illegal activities and nambiar finding out about this encounter tries to turn Shekhar against her.
