Lovers is a 1983 Indian Bollywood romance, drama film released on May 20, 1983. The film is directed by Bharti Raja, produced by Rajendra Kumar , music composed by R. D. Burman.
Viju is the son of a poor Brahmin widow who earns his living by giving tutions in music. Mary, born into a rich family living in Bombay, comes on leave and meets Viju. They fall in love with first sight. Marys brother, David, takes exception to this live and arranges her marriage with a Christan youth but she elopes with Viju and is chased and found by David.
