Carrying a fabulolus treasure from Hindustan, a caravan is winding its way through the twilight paths of a mountain valley towards Central Asia. Its every step is watched by hawk-eyed bandits and Atta Beg, the leader of the caravan, is not ignorant of his prelious position. But he is smug in the knowledge that reinforcements are on the way from Anwar Beg, the military Governor of the region. Alas, little did he know that the double-dealing Anwar Beg was in league with the bandits and was now on the way to loot what he had been assigned to protect. . Before long, Atta Beg, is waylaid, murdered and the treasure about to pass into the hands of the fiery bandit chief, Togrul. But Togrul counted without the host, Jaffar, who reached the spot at the nick of the moment with the Sultans soldiery and put the gangsters to flight. He grabbed the treasure box and rides away to his hometown not far away. . Anwar Beg who saw the prize slip out of his very bands did not at all relish the upsetting of his apple-cart. But he dare not his hand openly. In the meantime Jaffer reached home and asked his wife to get ready to leave the house. He knew the bandits would not take their reverse lying down. He had not, however, forgotten the dying appeal of Atta Beg to trace out and protect his motherless daughter and her devoted nurse. . Destiny had, however, other plans for the redoubtable Jaffar. During his brief absence, the house is raided his wife murdered and treasure spirited away. By a strange irony, Jaffar, is arrested for killing his own wife and his young son, Munir who saw him with his mother only few minutes before her death, deposed against Jaffar in the court of the Kazi. The luckless Jaffar was convicted and thron down from a high cliff into the valley below. But if Anwar Beg thought he had put finish to the episode, he was sorely mistaken. For the chikens came home to roost 20 years later. . What happened to Jaffars son or to Jaffar himself? What became of Atta Begs daughter?
