Maalamaal is a 1988 Indian Bollywood comedy film released on Nov 25, 1988. The film is directed by Kewal Sharma, produced by Bipin K. Dhawan , music composed by Anu Malik.

Maalamaal is the movie that introduces Raj (played by Naseeruddin Shah). He is a slum inhabitant. But, on one fine day, he comes to know that he has inherited the estate and property from his granddad (played by Harindranath Chattopadhyay). He is going to be the owner of a sum of 3.3 billion Indian rupees. His happiness has no boundaries and results. He lives to each and everything very happily and goes to his grandfather. His grandfather gets an attack and he dies. Raj then starts living his life very luxuriously with many high motives and objectives. Now, he is a billionaire and now he only has to deal with all the high class norms and standards. The film is just amazing and has many high and classy ends.
