Manjari the Princess of Mahendragarh was on a pleasure outing. She spotted a beutiful deer and a desire to hunt it possessed her. She drove fast the horses of the chariot to cahse the deer. In the break- neck speed the axle of the chariot snapped and Princes Manjari was thrown out. Her cries of help brought the hnadsome Prince Mandan who was also on a hunting trip riding an elephant. The rescue kindled the flame of love in the heart of both the young ones. Eyes spoke then tongue stoo but ere much progeress could be made, the maids of the Princess and Princes mate arrived there. The love stiken souls separated to go to their capitols. The Prince had learnt the name of the Princess but the arrival of her maids prevented the Princess from knowing the Princes name. . The young souls pined for love little knowing of the vendetta and feud that existed between their fathers. . Father of Manjari Mahendra Singh of Mahendragarh suffered defeat at the hands of the father of Prince Madan Maharajah Sajjansingh. This was the eighth defeat of Mahendra Singh. King Sujjan Singh who had foriven Mahendra Singh seven times, thought of a way out of this eternal struggle. He put a proposal that they shold be bound by ties of blood and suggested that his daughter Manjari be married to him or else be ready to face extinction of the kingdom. King Mahendra Singh asked time to consider their proposal as he wanted to consult his daughter Manjari. . Manjari flatly refused to be married to the old king Sujjan Singh. Mahendra Singh was upset but him Prime Minister suggested him a way out. As king Sujjan Singh had not seen Manjari, why not ask the Court Dancer Roopkala to pose as Manjari and marry her off to Sajjansingh? The marrage took place. . King Sujjan Singh asked his new Queen to bless his son Madan. The moment Roopkala (now the Queen) saw Madan, she was struk by his handsome figure. She called him to her chamber and made profersious of her love for him. Prince Madan protested. Disappointed and upset Roopkala turned the tables on Madan, accusing him of making an attempt of rape on her. This enraged King Sujjan Singh who drove Prince Madan out of the limits of his kingdom. . The Prime Minister was much pleased with this piece of news which he conveyed to Mahendra Singh. This news put Mahendra Singh in a quandry. Suppse Roopkala tells the truth to King Sujjan Singh then what happens to him and his kingdom? The Prime Minsiter told him not to worry on this score as he had asked the famous magician of Bengal. Bhimnath to come to Mahendragarh. He was sure that the marriage between him and Princess Manjari could be arranged and with his magical powers they could challange and defeat Sujjansingh.
