Madhuban is a 1988 Indian Bengali drama film released on 1988. The film is directed by Ajoy Kar, music composed by Hemanta Mukherjee.

This is a story of establishing their own rights by the tribals over money lender and contractors. Tribals are deprieved of their basic rights by the money lenders & contractors. Satinath, the new ranger of Jhalakpukur, stands by the tribals. Contractors who use malpractices wanted to drive him away. One of the contractors Sulata was honest & soft hearted. She arranged many means for the welfare of the Tribals, but her estate manager Sundaram, a greedy man, used to follow all wrong ways to earn money. He also wanted to marry Sulata. But by circumstances Sulata fell in love with Satinath. In the meantime, to fulfil his desire Sundaram manufactured a split between Sulata & his brother who was also partner of Sulata. One day when Satinath was not in Jhalakpukur Sundaram with the help of Bansibadan, a money lender, tried to put fire on the tribal villages & kill Raghu the tribal leader. Satinath came back on the same day accidentally & saved Raghu's life. Satinath was loved by all tribals. So Satinath assured them he will not to leave the jungle ever.
