The story is about a girl Manali. She returns to Pune after having taken her education from US. She is supposed to prepare her thesis on Ideal village. During her completion of the project, she completely transforms that village into a modern village. She then re cherish all those Maharashtrian traditions within her and leads the village to the development. Cynical and pragmatic Manali, educated and bred in the US returns to her roots in Pune to complete her thesis on the concept of Ideal Villages. In the course of completing her thesis she helps to transform her once despondent village to a Perfect Ideal Indian Village. She rekindles the passion for the great Marathi tradition among the locals, and in the process finds her faith in the Indian System restored.
