Mahasati Tulsi is a 1985 Indian Bollywood devotional film released on 1985. The film is directed by Radha Kant, produced by Saroj Jaini , music composed by S. N. Tripathi.
This is the story of Mahasati Tulsi, who was the daughter of Kalanemiki, Chief of Mathura. She played a prank with sage Durvasa who cursed that she would marry a deman and would lose her chasity. The curse had its course and she married deman Jalandhar. He started presecuting gods being assured of support of Lord Shiva. Lord Vishnu killed the deman and was turned into a stone. He was brought back to life by Mahasati Tulsi and hence she is considered to be an eternal maiden who marries Krishna on Ekadashi day in the month of Kartik.
