MAIN AUR MR RIIGHT has the look and feel of QUEEN-raw and refreshing. If not for the second half aberrations, it would have been a money-spinner, too. Having said that, this film will go down well with the younger generation as it addresses the constant need of finding Mr. Right!Read full review2.0

Main Aur Mr Right has much more to offer owing to several interesting elements — not just in terms of its story — that come across as a whiff of breath air. The sad part is they fizzle out either due to lack of depth in execution or plain ignorance concerning stark loopholes. A tighter film, featuring actors who can actually act, would have served the script better.Read full review2.0

Without Barun, there is clearly nothing to see in the film and hence recommended only if you are a Sobti fan. If not, Main Aur Mr Riight is definitely not for you. And it should never be featured among rom-com movies.Read full review1.5

This story of a poor little rich girl falling for a rank opposite could have been cute in a rom-com kind of way. But everything in Main Aur Mr. Riight (that double ‘i’ is particularly bothersome), from the emotions to the characterization, is way too synthetic to leave an impact.Read full review1.0

The only becoming factor here is TV hottie Barun Sobti’s ability to make the unlikely transformation stick with some nifty acting. But for his resplendent ability to convince and engage, this defeatist enterprise would have sunk without a trace!Read full reviewNR

My review of Main Aur Mr. Right (2014) by bangreaayushi
jyothimathur, 9 years agoA love story to love! Although few of us might deny or few us will contradict but somewhere at every point of our lives, we love watching love stories. Since childhood, we have heard many such stories from our grandmas that ’somewhere someone is reserved for only us’. So, this is the bottom line of the movie. The story starts with Aliya who is perfect in everything, including making of a perfect sandwich. She is the one who is waiting eagerly for her Mr. Right. But somewhere, she fails to get him as she is still single. Her life revolves around her few friends and her career. One day, her friends ask her the reason for being single and it is then she tells them that she does have a boyfriend. Now hiding the truth and searching for someone who will act, as her boyfriend is damn difficult. But one day, she finds a struggling actor Sukhi, who is a fan of Salman Khan. So, she hires him and tells him to act as her ‘only Mr. Perfectionist’. Then slowly his entry in her and her friends lives changes everything and he starts falling in for Aliya. Everything runs very smoothly but one day, her friends come to know of the reality and everything is ruined. So what happens next? Will Aliya come to know of his love? Will her friends accept him as Aliya’s fiancée ? This is the crux of the story. The performances in the films are extremely daunting. As far as Barun Sobti is concern, he is straight to his performance but Shenaz Treasuryvala has stuck herself in the image of a Barbie doll. She cannot handle matured roles more than that. The movie’s music is simply very boring. I mean there are no lyrics in the movie, which you can carry home. Only the script is good and there is nothing more than that which will make you fall in love. The movie has poor editing. Screenplay and the cinematography are simply too poor. Yes point taken that Shenaz’s open letter gave the movie a bit of publicity, but it did not created those wonders. If you are a love story lover than surely this movie will work for you, but if you taking this for the sake of entertainment, then this is not this movie, which will keep you engaged. -
