Ram Khanna( Raj Kapoor) is the spoilt son of the session court Judge Kundan Lal Khanna. Kundan lal later his father who was an alcoholic loved a dancer and was accused of her murder. But unfortunately, history repeats himself as Ram too falls for a dancer Miss Rita ( Leela Chitnis) who is actually using him to extort money from his father. Ram also becomes an alcoholic . The only person concerned for Ram is an aged man, who is just released from prison. Who is that aged man ? What is his relation with Ram?
