Malabadal is a 2001 Indian Bengali drama film released on 2001. The film is directed by Raj Mukherjee, produced by Ali Alam Molla , music composed by Abir Mukhopadhyay.

In this story we find two sisters, named Rupra & Chandra. The younger sister used to stay at her nephew's house. The younger sister Rupra came to visit the elder one (Chandra) when she was getting married. But to her utter surprise she found that the person whom she was in love was named Roni. Rupra did not want to inform anybody about this fact, except her childhood friend Jeet. But this friend of hers was in love with her. During all this Rupra tried to commit suicide. But in the mean time Jeet stopped her from not doing so & got married to her. There after both the sisters lived a happily married life ever after.
