Malamaal Weekly is a 2006 Indian Bollywood comedy film released on Mar 10, 2006. The film is directed by Priyadarshan, produced by Shailendra Singh under banner named Percept Pictures Company, music composed by Uttankk V. Vorra.
This is the story of a village which is meeting with financial crises everywhere. Here, the villagers are burdened with the financial aid from Thakurani Karamali. There, all the villagers are forced to take the lottery so that they can win the lottery. Lilaram sells the lottery tickets to all the villagers. Now one day, a person named as Anthony wins the lottery ticket and Lilaram doesn’t convey this news to any of them. But rather he goes to check the number of lottery ticket. But, later he finds that Anthony is dead and later he finds that the ticket is missing. Then, he is helped by Ballu in getting the lottery ticket. Then after this, the lottery ticket officer comes to give the amount to the assigned person, but there he doesn’t come to know that he is not the original Anthony because Lilaram is helped by all the villagers in getting the money. Now, in the last it is shown that even the Thakurain is killed accidentally when she races after the lottery officer in telling him the truth.
