Marine Drive 1955

Marine Drive is a 1955 Indian Bollywood social film released on 1955. The film is directed by G. P. Sippy.

Ajit and Khanna used to carry out their smuggling activities in the Marine Drive in Bombay. One day while smuggling the police reach the spot which leads to huge losses for Khanna and Ajit as they have to pay a large sum of money to the creditors. Ajit and Khanna make a plan - Ajit has to impress Khanna's niece, Bina and then kill her. On the other side Khanna will kill his brother Sunderlal Khanna. In this way they can take over his brother's wealth. They can pay this money to the creditors. But Ajit falls in love with Bina and doesnt want to kill her. He confesses this to Khanna. Khanna kills his own brother Sunderlal. Bina goes mad. Ajit saves Bina's life and they live happily ever after.

Regardless of the honour of his family, social obligations and tennets of decency, K.N. Singh pursues his criminal career, smuggling gold, cheating, thieving, helped by his band of tough gangsters who stop at nothing to make an easy living. Singhs able assistatnt, the rugged Ajit, though gentle at heart, is yet matchless in hs daring and courage. Together they sail through a smooth, under-world career until one of their biggest schemes to bring off a million-rupees gold smuggling coup, is surprised by the police. Singh and his men manage to escape, leaving the booty behind, after a hot, exciting case through the Northern part of Bombay. But Singhs respite is short-lived. He has now to face the creditors who had financed the purchase of foreign gold. In desperation, Singh thiks of a daring plan, not only to get rich quick but to end his money troubles for all time. . Singhs brother is a multi millionaire mill-owner who has only one heir to all his riches, his pretty, winsome daughter Bina Rai. Though sheltered under his brothers roof, Singh has not to the least hope that he will get a pie from him. He is knwon too well to be a good-for-nothing waster. But after Bina, Singh is the natural successor to his brothers wealth. In this line of thought, Singhs troubled and inventive mind travels. He puts his plan to Ajit, ably aided and abetted by his scorching siren Mohna, who provides the sharp edge to all of Singhs ambitions ! If Singh can take care of his brother, will Ajit deal with Bina? And so plans are carefully laid. Each gets to his appointed business. . But they say man proposed and God disposes, and soon what started as a simple scheme to get rid of two harmless, rich people from this world, becomes a tangled vein of hot passion and frustrations.
