Marmabani is a 1958 Indian Bengali drama,family film released on 1958. The film is directed by Sushil Majumdar, music composed by Gyan Prakash Ghosh.

Amna was married to Barun. Barun was the only son of Roy Bahadur. He was a brilliant scholar in the university. While he was researching on history he became mad. Barun's sister Madhuri told Aruna to stay close to Barun and she strongly believed that her presence would cure him. But nurse Malati said Aruna's presence was actually doing harm to Barun. So all the relatives adviced Amna to go somwhere else for some time. Unwillingly Amna left the place. Amna became a nurse. Amna had taken the responsibility of curing the mentally disbalanced people like Barun. One day, Bijay her younger brother, came to her and said Barun's condition had deteriorated farther and he was searching for Aruna. Aruna said, Barun was actually searching for the lost princess of history, not her. She refused to go to Barun. One day Aruna came to know that a brain operation was arranged as a last try to cure Barun. She initially took decision not to go to Barun. But when one of her patient committed suicide in her absence, she changed her decision. She thought Barun also might take the same decision like her patient. So without any delay Amna rushed to Barun's place.
