Story, Synopsis, Trivia, Dialogues for Mehbooba (1976)
This movie is about the reincarnation of two lovers, Prakash and Ratna. Prakash was a singer in the raj darbar and Ratna was a dancer. They both meet each other in the raj darbar and fall in love. But later he comes to know that he had to marry another girl. So Ratna sacrifices her love and is about to leave the place. After Prakash's marriage, he comes to know that Ratna has sacrificed her love. Later Prakash goes to convince Ratna trying to hide from the enemy. They meet with an accident by falling from the mountain and before dying they promise each other that they would meet in their next life. Prakash is reborn as Suraj in Mumbai as a singer and somehow remembers about his previous life. Will he be able to find Ratna? And if he finds her, will Ratna remember the past?
A saga of love ad re-birth it tells of Suraj, a modern and successful pop singer and Jhumri - a tribal girl who realise that they were in their last birth Prakash - a court musician and dancer. They were prevented from being united by Prakashs father-in-law in their last births. The lovers who had died a iragic death and ktaen a re-birth to fulfill their love.
