Mera Desh Mera Dharam is a 1973 Indian Bollywood action, social film released on Jan 01, 1973. The film is directed by Dara Singh, produced by Dara Singh.

The story is about the history heroes who had sacrificed their lives for the people and for the nation. Mukti-Bahini consists of brave and intelligent soldiers like Sajid(Dara Singh) and their aim is to free the nation from Pakistan so that they can form a new country, which is Dacca i.e. Bangladesh. The police officers and the leaders of Pakistan used to molest and rape the girls and women from Bangladesh, also torture and harass people and steal money and transfer all the funds from Bangladesh to Pakistan. The Mukti Bahini members fought against this racism and injustice, so that the people of Bangladesh could live freely, happily and with prosperity.

"Mera Desh Mera Dharam" is a story of the brave sons of a Land now called Bangla Desh. The people of the land responsed to the call of their beloved leader Sheikh Mujibur Rehman and lay down their lives to get free from the clutches of a Military Dictator. The episode of the story reveals the difference between Dictatorship and the Democracy and a litary hint to all the people of the World particularly to the Indian Sub-continent that is not to bank upen you religion for self defence but the contry as a whole. There was a time when people used to defend themselves under the name and banner of a Dharam but today Dharam should be ones own personal affairs to guide him to be a good character and re-union with God after that. But the States affairs should be left to present Society which naturally combined of multi-religions and multi-races.
