Mere Sanam is a 1965 Indian Bollywood social film released on 1965. The film is directed by Amar Kumar, produced by G. P. Sippy under banner named Sippy Films, music composed by Minoo Katrak.

Neena, in the company of her mom, and several female friends, travels to a remote holiday spot, and stay overnight at a lodge. A young man named Kumar also attends at this lodge, claiming to be the owner, and asking the caretaker, Shyam, to get rid of the intruders. Shyam assures Kumar that he will do so immediately. Instead of asking them to leave, he tells the visitors that Kumar is mentally unstable, and believes that he owns this lodge. After several misunderstandings, Kumar and Neena fall in love, and want to get married. And it is then Neena and her mother are come across photographs of Kumar and a young woman named Kamo alias Kamini, in very intimate positions.


"MERE SANAM" is a sizzling story of young loves who meet in the picturesque valley of Kashmir. . In spite of their varried temperament, they were irresistibiy drawn to each other and it so seemed that nothing in the world was going to break up their eternal love. . Kumar, young and handsome, was visiting the hills to instal a paper factory, whereas Neena, his beautiful beloved, had come to the same place for holidays in the company of her charming class-mates. They happened to meet in Kumars bungalow which Kumars currupt and unscrupulous manager, shyam had turned into an hotel. . As their love was in full bloom, Kumars uncle, Mehra, happened to visit the same place, Mehra-fabulously rich man was a lonely soul, inspite of his huge wealth. He had lost track of his beloved wife and child during the bloodshed of the Partition. Somehow, the manager Shyam, came to know that Neena was the lost daughter of Shri Mehra With a greedy eye on Mehras vast properties, he manoeuvered to win over Mehras wife, Savitri, and effect on alliance between Neena and himself, in order to remove Kumar from his path, he got him implicated in the murder of Kamo, whom he had earlier used to create a wedge between the lovers. He also saw to it that Savitri and Mehra would not meet till he was married to Neena. . What happened to the lovers, Kumar and Neena ?
