Story, Synopsis, Trivia, Dialogues for Monimala (1989)
This story belongs to three brothers Bimal, Kamal and Amal. Bimal is the elder brother of the family. He lost his parents in childhood. His mother was blind and during the journey to Calcutta for his mother's eye operation his parents faced an accident and lost their lives. After that Bimal takes the responsibility of his family. He determines to help the poor. He opens an eye donation bank and starts his activities as a social worker. Kamal, second brother of Bimal completes B.A. exam and becomes a lawyer. He marries a girl of a rich family. But his wife does not try to adjust with Bimal's family. Kamal and his wife leave the house and start to stay in Calcutta. Amal, younger brother of Bimal is very intelligent and a great social worker. He always tries to help poor people. He loves Mukto, who is younger sister of Bimal's wife. Amal becomes the topper in I.S. exam, everybody is happy for that. When Amal comes to know that he cannot see anything, he becomes sad. Everybody loves Amal, they are praying to God for his eyes. Mukto wants to give her eyes to Amal, but doctor tells her that they can only take dead person's eyes. Kamal comes to know from a letter that Amal is blind. His wife feels sorry because, she uses misbehaved with them. She tells Kamal, what she had done with Bimal's family. Bimal forgives Kamal and his wife. One day they get eyes for Amal. Doctor operates him and Amal gets well. He can see again . All of them become happy and decide to make a happy family.
