Mukti - The Final independence is based on the farmer's suicides in Maharashtra and how the villagers get at a solution for those issues. The movie is set in a village called Bagadwadi in Western Maharashtra, a bowl prone area and how the farmers' lives go through a drastic advancement in the pursuit of money and happiness for their respective tribes.
