Deepak a handsome young boy from the town falls in love with a village beauty Rani, and both wish to marry each other. . Deepaks father agrees to marry Deepak with Rani, but demands Rs. 20,000/- as dowry form Ranis brother. Deepak is very much against this demand of his father. But father tells him that, the equal amont will hav eo be paid in dowry for the marr age of his deceased brother only poor daughter Leela and so he was fully justifled to demand the said Dowry. . Ranis brother pledges his land and property with Parasram and gets the requeird Rs. 20,000/-. But the said amount is stolen by Lallu the loafer son of Parsuram who has a liking for Rani and cannot see Rani being marred to someone else. . Now Ranis brother neither can marry Rani to Deepak for want of money, nor is able ot pay the loan in time. Lallu brings attachment but Rani saves the prestige of her brother by agreeing to marry Lallu. . Rani and Lallu are in the marriage Pandal, when village Pandit discl- oses the curse of Nag Devta ataached to Ranis family and explains that Rani is not a farmer girl but comes from the family of snake charmers, and whosoever she marries will be bitten by snake. . Lallu plans to run away with Rani but this too could not materialise since Deepak appeared on the scene and foiled his evil design. . Deepak offered himself to marry, Rani but before the last word was uttered, Nag Devta appeared.... .
