Nal Damayanti is a 1970 Indian Bengali mythology film released on 1970. The film is directed by Gopalkrishna Ray, music composed by Kalipada Sen.

This ia a mythological story of Nal and Damayanti.Nal was King of the Nishads,He has an affair with the princess Damayanti.When her father arranged sayamvara sava damayanti put garland on nishad raj Nal.The Kings Kali and Dwapar got jealous of Nal and they tried to take revenge by destroying Nals kingdom.They also motivated Puskar the younger brother of Nal to act against him.Damayanti realises the situation and tries to protect Nal from the conspiracy,but failed to do that.Pushkar called Nal to a game of chance "pasa" and with the help of Kali and Dwapar he won the game and Nal's kingdom.Nal and DamayatI left their kingdom and started travelling to many places.One night in a forest Nal left Damayati alone for her sake.but both of them faced a lot of hazards after that.Damayanti's father searched for them but without success .During that period Nal had taken shelter at her own home by the help of Nal's friend Utanka.Finally with the help and advice of Utanka Damayanti got Nal to come back and after they returned to the Nishad palace .At this time Pushkar also realised he was loenly and signled out in his deception so he handed back the kingdom to Nal thus Nal regained his honour.
