Story, Synopsis, Trivia, Dialogues for Parampar (2003)

Parampar is a 2003 Indian Bengali adult film released on 2003. The film is directed by Pranab Kumar Das, produced by Sumita Das under banner named Gita Productions (96), music composed by Pranab Kumar Das.

Parampar' is a film about the life of Amolina (Baby Sarkar), an ex-model of Art College who engages her grand daughter Buli (Shubhra Basu) in the job of a nude model at the same college. She silently inspired her daughter- in- law (Menoka) grand daughter Buli and neighbour's daughter 'Rumi' to overpower her dominating son 'Sidhu' the family headman. Unlike western countries the job of modelling at the art college is considered to be a low profession since ancient times of Indian art. The flashback indicates the widow Amolina's early life as refugee after husband's suicide, her engagement as model by artist neighbour 'Mehonda' her growing relation with him, and Sidhu's consequent repulsion & hatred against his mother. Amolina & Menoka represent the mainstream of judgement - the instinct of survival which tune the emerging values of Buli up to time amidst prejudice, male chauvinism, pseudo leadership attitudes etc as symbolized by Sidhu. The climax comes when Buli is gradually undressed and placed as nude on podium at a classroom by her own grand mother. The son lost his command over the family. Next day Buli goes to her new job with confidence and dignity.
