Prahaar 1991

Prahaar is a 1991 Indian Bollywood action film released on 1991. The film is directed by Nana Patekar, produced by Sudhakar K. Bokade.
This is a story of an honest army officer who sees that his country is getting devastated with the cunning politicians and other people. The story starts with Peter D’Souza who wants to become an army officer. But, his father wants him to carry forward their bakery business. Meanwhile, on the other side his hubby Shirley wants him to get married to her. Throughout his journey, he has a strong motivator named as Kiran who tells him to follow his dream. Peter after leaving for the army, gets trained under the commando Major Chauhan. He is very happy with Peter, but one day when a bus is hijacked by a group of terrorist, Peter loses his legs and he is expelled from the army. Then, Peter returns to his place seeing that a criminal is ruling their area and he has terrorized everyone, Peter decides to fight against this, but is found murdered. Now, when Major Chauhan comes to know of this, he decides to take the revenge against the criminal.

Peter D'souza(Gautam Joglekar) was living with his father who ran a small shop in his area. He was on his way for military training as he was very enthusiastic to serve the country. During the formal training Major Chauhan(Nana Patekar) was the official supervisor. As time passed Major Chauhan was impressed by Peter D'souza. One day a bus was hijacked. A group of commandos with Major Chauhan was assigned to rescue the passengers. The commandos rescued the passengers but Peter was wounded and lost his legs. He was discharged from the army and returned home to take care of his father's shop. There he got to know that some gangster was trying to extort money from everyone. Peter decided to fight the gangster but he got killed himself. Major Chauhan got to know the story and decided to take action against this. But he was shocked to see a corrupt police force. Would Major Chauhan take revenge without the support of the local police and local people who were afraid of these gangsters? Would he create a revolution? Watch further to know more...
