Prem Rog is a 1982 Indian Bollywood drama, romance, musical, social film released on Aug 13, 1982. The film is directed by K. Chandra, produced by Raj Kapoor , music composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal.
The story starts with Manorama, who belongs to a very rich, yet orthodox family. Manorama loves her childhood friend, but is married to another man. After the marriage, things twist her living when her husband is killed and she has been sent back to her father’s place. After years, Deodhar, who is Manorama’s childhood friend, comes back to his village and he sees the condition of Manorama who is surrounded by all the social norms and harassments. Day by day, her condition starts weakening and she is restricted. But, Deodhar being from a poor family is somewhere not able to compete with the power of Thakurs. Somewhere, Deodhar had feelings for her and the day he tells this to her, his life is trapped into the wrong deeds of Thakurs. Still he fights back with them and gets Manorama to his life.
