Prema Kosam is a 1999 Indian Telugu romance, costume drama film released on May 25, 1999. The film is directed by Veera Shankar, produced by D Yugandhar. Chandu (Venkat) pines for Aishwarya (Asha Saini - debut) and is maniaclly in love with her. But Aishwarya is already in love with Rahul (Vineet). Jilted Chandu now makes several attempts to seperate them albeit unsuccessfully. Fate now comes in the form of an accident. While Rahul and Aishwarya are going on a bike, they meet with an accident. Chandu who happens to pass by leaves Rahul and takes the girl to the hospital. She enters a different world struck by `amnesia` and forgets her past. Rahul recovers and tries to convince her that he is her lover, but she is unable to remember anything! And Chandu takes advantage of this and tells her that he is her real lover. Even their marriage is fixed. But Chandu`s mother comes to know of the plot hatched by her son and meets with death in a struggle with her son!
