Pukar is a 1983 Indian Bollywood drama,patriotic film released on Nov 18, 1983. The film is directed by Ramesh Behl, produced by Ramesh Behl , music composed by R. D. Burman.
The story is about how Goa is still being ruled by the Portuguese rulers. There are some people who want to free Goa and it’s territories from these Portuguese, but are not able to find the hidden truth behind all the drams. There are people like: Narvekar, Purandare, and Dinanath who fight for the independence from the Portuguese administration. One day, Dinanath’s doings are known by the Portuguese and then he runs off with his son named as Ramdas. Now, things are shattered for Dinanath and Ramdas and this is how he starts hating the freedom fighters and thus, he changes his identity. He names himself as Ronnie, has a girlfriend named as Julie and gets engaged into criminal activities. One day, the police commissioner is found dead, so Ronnie helps in finding the ultimate killer. This killer is Shekhar, who is sentenced to the prison and in his court trial he is ordered to be hanged. Now, in his journey he will find out the hidden truth about the person Shekhar and his parents. He will come to know that why all the villagers are against him and why Purandare shot his father.
