Puttinillu Mettinillu is a 1973 Indian Telugu drama film released on Jul 24, 1973. The film is directed by Pattu, produced by M.murugun , music composed by Satyam. Gopi (Krishna) and Latha (Laxmi) are siblings. Their father Ramayya is suffering with leprosy. But Latha does not know that her father is alive, as she hates the people who are not good looking, she likes only beautiful things. Ravi (Shoban) and Vasanthi (chandrakala) are siblings and they come from a poor family. Their mother Janakamma (Savitri) works hard to educate Ravi. Ravi falls in love with Latha, and Gopi likes Vasanthi and they marry. Once after the marriage Latha is unable to adjust in the house of Ravi and insults Janakamma, which irks Ravi and he slaps her, upset with Ravi, Latha walks away from the house. Gopi to help Latha send his wife Vasanthi to Ravi's house. Rest of the story deals with Latha knowing the truth about her father and realizes her mistakes and coming back to Ravi's house.
