After the wedding of his girl, Geeta, with army Major Pratap Singh, widower Hridaynath lives a simple middle-group existence with his unmarried girl, Priya, in Dehra Dun. Geeta, Pratap and their new-born boy, Munna, pay them a vacation and live with them for a few days. They figure out that Hridaynath is under constant threat from a loan crook he had borrowed money from to get Geeta wed. Shortly after this Geeta and Pratap leave back place for Ranikhet, and after this Hridaynath finds out that his loan has been compensated and that they also have a phone now - thanks to Pratap. Not unknown to Hridaynath, Pratap has set his evil eyes on Priya and wants her, so much so that he is interested to kill Geeta and get re-wed to Priya on the ploy that Munna needs looking after. So to get the ball circum, he kills Gita, tells her daddy and sister that she has died of a heart attack, and tells them to leave Dehra Dun and live with him in Ranikhet.
