Raktanjali 2009

Raktanjali is a 2009 Indian Bengali drama film released on Sep 04, 2009. The film is directed by Paresh Chandra Pal, produced by Chayan Nag Chowdhury under banner named Baba Loknath Films (96).

The film “Raktanjali” starts with the good news of the enormous success of “Chatterjee & Dutta Roy Engineering Industry”. The partners of the company Animesh Chatterjee and Priyotosh Dutta Roy celebrate but sooner Priyotosh comes to know from his manager that his partner Animesh is involved with women trafficking & uses the banner of their Industry for such activities. Priyotosh tells Animesh that he wants to withdraw his partnership from the company. Animesh calls their “Boss” Rudrashekhar Maitra and attempts to kill Priyotosh with his entire family. But somehow their son Tapas survives but loses his memory. Priyotosh’s friend Rakhal Chowdhury takes care of Tapas and renames him Milan. When he grows up he falls in love with a girl of Rakhal uncle’s Ashram, Shyamali. Shyamali goes to study in Kolkata and join professor Animesh’s tution and there one day he rapes her. In this meantime “Boss” Rudrashekhar’s son Sumit returns from America and learns about all his father’s criminal activities. Milan learns about his original identity from his Rakhal uncle, and vows to take revenge. Then Rudrashekhar is killed by his son, Animesh is beaten by Milan (or Tapas) and is killed by Sumit. Police arrests Sumit. The film ends happily with the re-union of Milan & Shyamali.
