Shri Ramachandraji was born to mother Kaushalya, queen of king Dasaratha of Ayodhya at the time, when this world was sheathing in agony from the harressment and sins of the great Rakchhasa Ravana.....and at the same time, our earth was obliged by the birth of Seeta, as daughter to the great king Janaka of Mithila. The story of pre-birth of Vaidehi, Ravanas quarrel with Vedavati and thereafter Vedavatis disappearance in the earth, etc, these incidents create an interesting episode of ups and downs. After, Rama had accepted Janaki to follow the percepts of his father, he followed by seeta proceeded to the jungles and during their stay at Panchvati, Seeta was carried away by Ravana, Hanuman had to cross the ocean, the great fire of Lanka, bringing the ocean to join the lands of Bharat and Lanka, these are all the world known episodes of Rama Charitra. .
