Saajan Chale Sasural is a 1996 Indian Bollywood romance, costume drama, comedy film released on Apr 12, 1996. The film is directed by David Dhawan, produced by Mansoor Ahmed Siddiqui , music composed by Nadeem-Shravan.

Shyamsunder (played by Govinda) is a sincere villager who has a great interest in music. He moves to the city, making buddies with Muthuswami (played by Satish Kaushik) who is a South Indian tabla player. The president of the TIPS cassette organization named Khurana (played by Kader Khan), is fascinated with his musical abilities and agrees him to a high position. As he goes back to get back his debts in the village he takes tragic news of the death of his beau Pooja (played by Karisma Kapoor) has passed in a flood. He then weds Khurana's girl Divya (played by Tabu). When Khurana has a heart fail, he finds his "assumes dead" beau Pooja in the hospital. He then has to fool his two companions, even if it involves leading a double life to make sure Pooja and Divya don't consider he has wed both of them.
