Sachaai is a 1969 Indian Bollywood comedy,drama,action,crime film released on Jan 01, 1969. The film is directed by K Shankar, music composed by Shankarsinh Raghuwanshi. Truth is an idea in which everyone believes but few practise. Sachaai is the story of two frineds who set out in search of a way of happiness, one by adhering to Truth and the other by trying to get rich quick. . Ashok and Kishore are these two friends. After passing their graduat- ion, they have to face life. Kishore is the son of a corrupt offical who is soon arrested on charges of bribery. The family is thrown out of their palatial residence which they can no longer afford. Kishore is unable to live by honest means and his mother and sister Shobha. Shobha takes up a job as a dance teacher and supports herslef and her mother. . In the meanwhile, Ashok, after a brief encounter with a carnival group who induce him to join their racket, starts making easy money in any way he can. But in an unexpected twist of fate he hurts Shobhas mother in a truck accident and decides to repent for his bad deeds. He looks after Shobha and her mother and soon Ashok and Shobha are in love. Ashok turns a new leaf in his life and joins the police force as an inspector. . But now the two frineds meet again under a statue of Mahatma Gandhi. . It is a strange re-union.
