The movie shows the story of a village family who goes to the village in search of job. The movie shows the life of this family and how they are caught into troubles.
The story begins in a village near Kolhapur named Hibarwadi.Movie is around a small family consisting of the a husband,wife,her brother and his wife.It shows what happened small village family goes into the city.During around the times of 1965 the movie focuses on the malice in the society that occurs in the great cities.In the start it looks all green, the hero gets a job he gets money gets a house.but then the guy who made um come to kolhapur cons him and puts him into jail.Later his wife in an attempt to save herself from being raped kills the conman and is jailed.The hardships that the wife experiences are also beautifully pictured.Story has a happy ending when the hero work hard while wife is in jail to impress her becomes wealthy businessman.the moral of the story say that no matter how rich you become you must always remember your roots as they put you today where you are.
