Story, Synopsis, Trivia, Dialogues for Safed Jhoot (1977)
The trials and travails of a newly married couple who cannot declare to the world that they are married as Vinod Thakur's (Vinod Mehra) boss is against the institution of marriage and feels he may loose his job in the bargain. Vinod married to Anita (Mithu Mukherjee), is very loyal to his work, but since marriage Vinod doesn't get much time to spend with his wife and his boss Mr Gulati (Ashok Kumar) also doesn't give leaves. So once, he decides to give fake leave note as he was ill and takes leave. But where Vinod & Anita both used to live together, Mr Gulati reached. There, Mr Gulati meets Mittu (Anita) and he doesn't know that she is Vinod's wife and Anita also tell lies that she unmarried and Mr Gulati also doesn't allow her to go away from him and Vinod gets stuck in an awkward situation. Now, what will Vinod do? Will Mr. Gulati come to know about reality? How his wife not only breaks the news but also gets Vinod's boss to get him a promotion forms the rest of the story.
