Sahibaan is a 1993 Indian Bollywood drama,romance film released on Jul 16, 1993. The film is directed by Ramesh Talwar, produced by D. K. Chawla , music composed by Shiv-Hari.
SahibaanSahibaan (played by Madhuri Dixit) is a young carefree village chick who falls in love with Gopi (played by Rishi Kapoor) she also seeks the eye of wealthy Vijay (played by Sanjay Dutt) who is determined to wed to her. Saibaan refuses the bonding as she believes Vijay to be a drug addict and is in love with Gopi. Gopi later goes missing and Sahibaan considers him to be killed although he has only lost his memory.

Sahibaan leads a poor lifestyle in a small village with her family. Sahibaan is in love with Gopi who takes care of animals and eats whatever the villagers give him. One day while chasing a rabbit, Sahibaan ends up in the palace of Kumar Vijaypal Singh, but Sahibaan manages to escape. Vijaypal starts loving Sahibaan and wants to marry her and so he decides to kill Gopi and throw him into the river. Sahibaan and her family thinks that Gopi is no more, but in reality Gopi is alive.
