Oftentimes the boy and the girl meet and they fall in love because they like each other. But when a boy and a girl meet and they dont like each other, there is an intriging explosion of fun and laughter, teasing and leg-pulling. So when in Sapna Kamal, the owner of the `Cheechwa Saw Mill, gifted with a poetic heart, met Achala, an embodiment, aspiring to adoctorate, an explosion was inevitable. . Bute the hard academic crust which had enveloped Achala soon vanished into thin air when she came in contact with Kanchan, the maid-servant. Kanchan impressed upon Achala in her own rustic language, how womans life was meaningless and incomplete without man. The truth and magic of Kanchans words worked upon Achalas heart; and it was a stupendous surprise both for Achalas father, P.K.Bose, and Kamlas fater, Jangbahadur Verma, when one day Kamal and Achala walked home like lovers and eventually got married! . For sometime things went well at Cheechwa. But very soon the first sadness appeared with the illness of Achalas father, whose failing health began to cause anziety, and Achala called her uncle and cousin, Madhavi, to give her courage and company. But, as ill luck would have it, the old man died; and out of love and sympathy Achalas uncle left behind his daughter, Madhavi, at Cheechawa to look after the bereaved Achala. . When Kamal was away at Banaras, where he had gone to immerse into the sacred Ganges the cherished ashes of his father-in-low, a strange thing happened. It was the full-moon day and Achala went to the sacred Kund with a lamp, in fulfilment of her vow. There, at the Kund, was hovering Bhairav the bandit (better known as Safed Ghodewala) who had already cast his evil eye-on Achala sometime back, when she and Kamal were going to the fair. The unscrupulous bandit kidnapped Achala. Madhavi and Kamlas father believed Achala to be drowned. Kamal returned home from Banaras and learnt about the tragedy of his beloved wife. Kamla raved in sorrow, but one day he got the clue to Achalas sudden disappearance from the Ghat. Kamal found Achals ear-ring near about the Kund-to which a few hair of a white horse were still sticking. This clue was further confirmed by the bandit, and also confirmed by Kamlas servant, who was robbed on the way near Champaranis Fort in runis. . Enraged and intent on avenging himself on the bandit for kidnapping his wife, Kamal rushes out, gun in hand, to Champaranis Fort, where the bandit is suspected to be hiding. Kamlss father and Madhavi also follow. . Just in the nick of time, when Bhairav, the bandit, was about to gratify his desire, he hears shouts of warning from his two hounds- Bhikhu and Ghasita. Bhairav quickly ties Achala to a pillar and rushes out to meet the enemy. But now surely you would like to know what happened in the encounter; who were killed and who survived.
