SARLA the only daughter of a widow is oblighed by circumstances to take up the work of a film extra. While accompanying her friends Rasili and Chandni to the Studios she is obliged to hail a passing car to avod her freinds creditors. This car belongs to the wealthy Seth Motilal. The director in the studios seeing that the new girl has come in the Seths car takes it for guaranteed that she is his fiancee. He offers the girl the female lead with a fat salary. As a result of the creditors too having seen the girls getting into the Seths car they presume that Sarla is the Seths friend and they start sending all sorts of articles to the Seth for collection he feels extremely curiou and to find things for himself gets Sarlas address from the creditors He ceaches the studies where Sarla is known by her screen name Rajni. Through odd circumstances Rajni takes Seth Motilal, who is young and handsome, to be a journalist and there developes a friendship between the two Rajni the Star and Motialal the journalist. . Motilal starts visiting the girl at the studios and at Cahandni & Rasilis house and as such becomes reluctant about his work. His his work. His elderly Munim in consultation with Motilals mother arranges to marry him to a continent returned girl Bela. Favourably odd happenings make Bela decline to marry Motilal to his great relief. Motilalas mother had in the meantime contacted her old friend Sraswati to whom she had pledged to marry their children mutually. She desires Sraswati to bring her daughter the next day to her house with a view to arange matrimoney. Motilal had on the sly left for the Studios already garbed as a Marwari. At the persistant demand of the direcot to arrange an interview with the wealthey Seth the girls and garbed Motilal the journalist as a fat Marwari. Servants having seen Motilal escape throught the window in the said garb and drive away in his own car presume that somebody had stolen the car and report the matter to the Munim who reports the matter to the Police. Motilal having giving a fat cheque to the Director, the direcor starts issuing cheques against same. The girls Rasili and Chandni feeling things going wrong rush to Sarlas house where Sarla hving refused to marry one Behari is been locked by her mother. . Sarlas mother reports to the police that her daughter has been thaken to the studios and solicits thieir help to recover her. The Direcotr havign been convinced that Motilal is only acting as a Seth too reports to the police that he had been dodged by having been given a dud cheque. .
