Savera is a 1972 Indian Bollywood family drama, social film released on Jan 01, 1972. The film is directed by V. K. Sharma, produced by Gurnam.
Jane, a call girl, found herself pregnant. She flew to a distant town to get rid of the child. On the plane she met a handsome multimillion- aire who instantuly fell in love with her and proposed to her. They got married. jane did not have time to get rid of her pregnancy. Moreover a few weeks pregnancy could very easily be accredited to her husband. A few months later.... . The husband attempted to murder Jane. He defended himself succes-fully by proving her infidelity. He further proved that he could not have ca used a pregnancy. Years back he had met an accident which was followed by an operation a mounting to vasectomy. . The above case was reported in some foreign publications recently. Savera is inspired from this fact of life. It is the story of three ch aracters Saroj Jatin and Amr involved in similiar circumstances. But unlike their originals they were not lost in the darkness of deceit, crime and murder. . Although Savera is inspired by that real life incident, it does not have a call girl, a murder or even a court room! . In modern India many families are at one time or the other lost in similiar darkness. The purpose of making Savera would be served if it can be instrumental in bringing out a dawn in any of those families. .
