Shagan 1951

Shagan is a 1951 Indian Bollywood film released on 1951. Kamal and Kamini both were students in the same college. Both had finished their studies. Both were in the preparations of going home and as such they could not see each other for two three days. Kamini had already wired her father about her coming. Receiving the wire Kaminis father Raisahib was simply too glad thinking that his daughter had finished her studies and coming back to hom. Kamini could not see anybody before starting for home. She reached home sitting in Haria coachmans Tonga. Haria kept all luggage at the gate of the bungalow and refused to go in. Truely speaking, the very sight of the bungalow which reminded him of some past story threw him into anger. Throwing even the two rupess of his carriage-hire, he turned back with his Tonga and went of. Kamini stood staring at him astonishment. Under such circumstances father met his daughter and went in. Even after Kamini reached inside, her attention was kept absorbed by the words of Haria, the mystery of which still kept her meditating. Kamini gathered much information from her maid-servant Chanda, but she was not satisfied with what she learnt and she kept on comtemplating through the whole night. In the next morning Kamini reached Harias home. Haria was very glad to see her coming to his house. The sympathetic appeal of Kamini made Haria to disclose the whole of his miserable tale. And when she heard about the horrifying tortures done by his father on Haria she felt giddy and shievered and thought as if, the ground below her feet was shifting and her hair were up. TO make good the sins committed by her father Kamini made Haria as her brother and his mother and sister as her mother and sister. Long ago Kaminis father had settled everthing about the marriage of Kamini and Kamal. As now Kamini had attained the age of youth Raisahib was now thinking about fulfilling his promise. But when he came to know that he was in trouble about fulfilling his promise he was much mentally troubled. Kamals father was pressing him for marriage and he was continuously refusing. Parents of both were in trouble.
