Shahid is a 2013 Indian Bollywood thriller, social film released on Oct 18, 2013. The film is directed by Hansal Mehta, produced by Anurag Kashyap under banner named Bohra Bros.

The movie is based on a true story of the assassinated human rights lawyer and activist named Shahid Azmi. A boy who becomes an unlikely leader for human rights when he was following the growth of communal violence in India, Shahid wants to trace the personal journey of the boy and hence attempts to become a terrorist and then being wrongly caged under an anti-terrorism law, he becomes a criminal lawyer. This is an inspiring testimony to the human spirit of this needy Muslim during his struggle to come to the relation with bias, discriminations and rising above his conditions.
