Shamsher is a 1953 Indian Bollywood action film released on Jan 01, 1953. The film is directed by Gyan Mukherjee. In `SAMSHEER is unfolded the saga of a valient rebel VIKRAM of KATHIAWAR, who having been declared a rebel was branded with the sign of a swaord on his chest, by the devilesh plotting rulers. He took an oath to destory them and save the people. He fulfilled it to the word. . For seven long years, VIKRAM was a prisoner in a dark undergound cell. One day he snatched an opportunity, escaped and saw the first dawn of his new life after freesom. Oppression of the rulers was in full swing Blood began to boil in the veins of rebel VIKRAM and he raised the banner of FREEDOM against the misrule of the tyrant, and got the people united at his back. People demanding justice opened a front against the rulers and soon the authorities font against the rulers and soon the suthorities found the ground slipping under their feet. Just at the moment when the lofty walls of oppression and tyranny were about to crumble, the `RAJAs sweetheart ROOPAM got VIKRAM entrapped with the aid of her charming beauty, and handed him over to the ruthless law of the tyrants rule"! . But when VIKRAM was subjected to cruel tortures her tender soul could not bear it and ROOPAM found that the very enemy had stolen her own heart!! . On one side was the love of ROOPAM, on the ohter the tyrants sword. Oppressed people were determined to do or die. VIKRAMs name had created an upheaval everywhere. With no regard for his life, VIKRAM kept his banner of revolt flying and demanded justice!!! . On one side was the sword of tyrannym on the other was the sword of truth, and they collided with a fearful force. The sword of tyranny broke into pieces and was reduced to the dust.
