The demons accepted Acharya Shukra as their spiritual leader.Shukra invented "Sanjibani" by the help of which even a dead person became alive.So the demons became invincible.The Gods became very anxious and they send Kach to the demon's place to know the secrets of Sanjibani-Knowledge. Debjani, Daughter of Acharya falls in love with Kach. Sharmistha, daughter of demon-King Brihospati, came to know about the affair between Debjani and Kach. Right from the begining Sharmistha doubted Kach. As Kach does not return, the anxious gods sent Chitrarath ot get the news of Kach.Chitrarath was caught by the demons and from him the demons came to know that Kach was actually the son of Brihospati.Sharmistha requested death sentance of Kach to her father as Kach came there to destroy the demons. But as Debjani begged for Kach's life,the king set him free.Finding Kach's life at stake Debjani told him to go back.Kach left the demons place.Jajati came to a jungle near the demons place to hunt. He saw Sharmistha there. Jajati wanted to marry Sharmistha.Though Sharmistha loved Jajati but it was impossible as one of the member of the demons family, to marry Jajati,who was a friends of Gods. So she refused Jajati's proposal. As Debjani saved the life of Kach, Sharmistha became very angry on her.One day Sharmistha threw Debjani into a dark well. Accidentlly Jajati came to drink water from that well. He saved Debjani from that well. Acharya Shukra found the unconscious Debjani on Jajati's lap. He requested Jajati to marry his daughter. Debjani knew Sharmistha loved Jajati so to take revenge on her she accepted the marriage and asked for Sharmishtha to be her maid servant. King Brihospati was forced to accepted Debjani's wish.Sharmistha left the country with Debjani and Jajati.B ut the demons didn't like the order of the king.They wanted Sharmistha's freedom, so they all went to Jajati's Kingdom. Incidentally one day Sharmistha came closer to Jajati. At last Debjani freed Sharmistha.In the meantime a son named Puru was born to Sharmistha. Everybody came to know who was the father of Puru. Being cursed Jajati's youth worn out immediately..
