Siddhanta is a 2009 Indian Bengali drama film released on 2009. The film is directed by Abhik Roy, produced by Bijoy Banerjee , music composed by Partha Sengupta.

Anjan and Nabanita are both college students who fall in love. Anjan is also involved in politics and comes to contact with Abani who is against the ideology of the party. One day Nabanita comes to know from Abani that Anjan has gone to Delhi to get involved in party work as he has higher political ambitions. Meanwhile Nabanita becomes an associate of Abani and together with some other people, they form a party which would fight for the cause of the common people and the downtrodden. Nabanita becomes the leader of the group and they become semi-militants. Anjan comes back to Kolkata and in due course of time becomes a powerful leader and minister of the ruling party though he undertakes a different name. Nabanita comes to know about this decides to do away with Anjan (now known as Amiya). They planned to kill Anjan when he comes to visit their village one day to address a meeting. On the day of the meeting, when Raktim, Nabanita’s associate is about to kill Anjan, Nabanita comes in the way and prevents Anjan from getting shot. In the process she is shot and Abani and Mahadev, their mentor, surrender.
