Sukher Basa 2009

Sukher Basa is a 2009 Indian Bengali family film released on Feb 13, 2009. The film is directed by Alok Roy, produced by Tarachand Dhanuka.

The Story of the film revolves round an honest and retired school teacher Sushil Roy. He lives with his wife, son and daughter. His son Ananda and daughter-in-law Dolly convinces the old man to sell all his lands, so that they can buy a tea- garden. Ananda promises him to return all the money at the time of his sister Alo’s wedding. But at the time of Alo’s wedding Ananda refuses to return the money. Helpless father borrows money from someone else. Ananda throws his parents out of their house and buys a new flat. Alo doesn’t know anything about all this. The old couple gets shelter at their servant Bhalsa’s house. To repay Sushil Roy’s borrowed money Bhalsa starts smuggling and once he decides to confess everything & surrender to the police. The goons beat him up severely and as he gets well, the old teacher dies. Ananda realizes his mistakes while he gets the news of his father’s death. Alo also comes to know about this unfortunate incident. Ananda and Dolly apologies to their mother, and ultimately they were forgiven by their mother
