Surya Devata is a 1969 Indian Bollywood film released on 1969. This world is life a big stage and all the people are like actors. They come here to play their parts and go away. Nobody cares for them. But the names of those who dedicate their lives for the good of others remain in this world. . Sulochana, a princess, comes to the king of Hastinapur after losing her parents and parental kingdom in helpless condition. The parents had decided at the time of her birth that she would be married to Samvaran the prince of Hastinapur, and Sulochana was considering him her husband ever since childhood, even though she had not even him. Samvaran was ignorant of all this and he was in love with Tapti, the daughter of God Sun. . One Ratna Kiran, a daughter of one of the Devtas of Surya Lok was sentenced to imprisonment by God Sun for making love to a man but he was unaware of the fact that his own daughter Tapti was in love with, and had alreada decided to marry, Samvaran. Eventually when He comes to know this He orders that a swayamvar should be held on Akshaya Tritia day and that Tapti should choose one of the Devtas of Suryalok. By irony of circumstances the King of Hastinapur had also fixed the same day for the wedding of Samvaran with Sulochana. But by now Sulochana had come to know of the love of Samvaran for Tapti and she decidedes to sacrifice her happiness for that of Samvaran. Against all odds she manages to send Samvaran to Sauya Lok for the Swayamvar whereas Samvarans presence enrages Sun and He dicidedes to destory Samvaran.
