Teesri Manzil is a 1966 Indian Bollywood comedy, musical, suspense, thrill, social film released on Jan 01, 1966. The film is directed by Vijay Anand, produced by Nasir Hussain , music composed by R. D. Burman.

A woman thinks that a nightclub drummer is responsible for his sister's death and tries to seek revenge. The police is called in to investigate, the only clue the police has is a coat button worth Rs. 250.

As the name of the film suggests Teesri Manzil.The film starts with a girl climbingup a staircase and in second shot shown as dead. The story revolves around the murder mystery of Rupa. The girl sister (Asha Parekh)Sunita decides to take revenge of her sisters death. In turn get chased by a guy(Anil Kumar)Shammi Kapoor and falls in love with him, who plays a role of a lead singer in drummer of his band in this film. Ruby(Helen) justify's her role as a dancer to Rockey's band and has soft corner for him. She is subject to Rockey's telephonic conversation with Rupa.(Sunita's sister) on the day she was murder. She (Helen) threatens Rockey from time to time whenever he shows interest in Sunita. Ramesh(Prem Chopra) on the other hand admonishes Rupa for her closeness to Rockey and threatens to kill her for cheating him. Another charaters in shades of Grey is Kunwar Saheb(Premnath) who plays a key role in this film and his link to th murder mystery. Thus story enfolds and the way ? women is worth watching.


Musical love story repeating the star pairing of the hit Dil Deke Dekho (1959) as well as its locales, the hill-station and the hotel dance-floor. Sunita (Parekh) goes to Mussorie with her college hockey team. She is also determined to avenge the death of her sister Rupa, who had apparently committed suicide when she was rejected by her lover Rocky (Kapoor), a drummer in the hotels jazz band. Rocky meets her and, wise to her intentions, disguises her identity. The two fall in love. The story picks up again when a policeman reveals that Rupa was murdered. The dancer Ruby (Helen), who is in love with Rocky, and Rupas jealous fiance are prime suspects. In the end, a subplot is quickly developed and the murderer caught. The film included classic Mohammed Rafi and Asha Bhosle duets such as O hasina zulfonwali, Aaja aaja, O mere sona re sona re and the quixotic Rafi solo, Diwana mujhsa nachin, entergeticaly picturised on the ageing but lively lead duo.
